Johnny Cupcakes and crew have been on the road for the last month on their Johnny Cupcakes Suitcase Tour. They have been all over the country wrapping things up last night in Boston. Saturday night they were here in Philadelphia making an appearance at Ubiq on Walnut St. We went past Ubiq around 11 am and there was already a line of about 30 kids waiting. Since the event didn’t start until 7 pm, that was a huge testament to the loyalty of his fans.

We showed up around 6 pm and waited for their arrival so we could interview and photo Mr. Cupcakes himself. Him and his colleagues from the east coast and west were amazing to hang out with. They all had a lot to get done for the shop set up and they still found the time to hang out and talk with all of us, so we want to extend a huge thank you to them, especially Johnny. Ubiq hosted a great event as well. They kept things super organized and made sure everything ran smoothly which is not always easy when you have a couple hundred kids clamoring at your door to get in. A really fun vibe was kept all night long and DJ Shorty Wop kept things going until the last loyal fan got their Johnny Cupcakes gear and an autograph to go with it.
