It has been a rough Tour de France, but we are down to the final 2 stages. Tomorrow’s time trial will be the deciding factor on who will win the tour. But the real question is whose team are you on? Are you with last year’s winner, team Astana’s Alberto Contador, OR team Saxo Bank’s Andy Schleck ? Personally I am voting ANDY SCHLECK.

In the spirit of the heat that we are experiencing and I know a lot of other areas are too, I thought this was fairly appropriate. It may also be appropriate, with the state our economy is in and all the hardships that everyone is enduring, to show that it is possible to pull a positive out of a negative situation.

The Mayor of Braddock, PA is a 6’8″, tattooed Ivy League graduate who has taken the challenges in this former steel town and made it his mission to overcome them. This should be a good time if you’re around this weekend. The winner of the race gets to go to San Francisco for the finals at Fast Friday and compete with the rest of the winners from cities all around the world. Mishka, who has been involved in fixed gear culture and riding since their DART Collection, along with No Brakes (ATL based fixed gear bike shop), and Wish (ATL boutique) have brought a collective vision to life with the “Get Pitted” shirt and hat. Levi’s®has joined forces with the town of Braddock, Pa located 11 miles outside of Pittsburgh. With the collapse of the steel industry came the collapse of Braddock itself. Mayor, John Fetterman (2005-present) has been focused on attracting new residents to the area from the artistic, urbanist, and creative communities. In 2009 Levi’s started there collaboration with the town on Braddock (designated a financially distressed municipality) to rebuild this town.
