I know this was announced a while ago, but I didn’t want to put it up too early and risk people forgetting about it, but lets be honest, if you forget about this then you don’t deserve to be there. Volture, hailing from Richmond, VA, will embark on an epic mission of metal the likes of which has never been seen or experienced by the east coast…yeah, I know, sounds awesome! For 3 days in a row Richmond, Philly, and NYC will get a chance to pick up Volture’s first record, Shocking Its Prey on Heavy Artillery Records. They are being supported by Cauldron from Toronto. Need something to do this weekend? Of course you do, it’s the weekend! Pixie 007 and Copycat bring you the FACTORY Party at Party Xpo, 929 Broadway. There are tons of things going on at this event and I’m willing to bet there is something for everyone from your friends that are so cool you can’t believe that they hang out with you, all the way to your friends that are so not cool you wish they would not hang out with you. Its hard to write a description for something, when that something, one makes it hard to stop watching, and two, makes it hard not to pass out because all of your blood is rushing to one part of your body…that is hard.  But I will try to stay conscious long enough to sum up this very well made short film.   I say well made not because it has a high production value or Michael Bay explosions, no!  This short DOES, however, have a fantastic cast and a great story line that captures the audience’s attention.  It has stunning flow and movement not to mention a fairly good sound track.

With that said please enjoy this short and make sure you are close to the floor and away from any sharp objects or pointy corners.  This film may cause loss of consciousness due to irregular blood flow.

SE Presents, the Quad Fixed Frame. See what they have to say about it below:

It was only a matter of time ‘till we put pen to paper & drafted up the first ever Quad Fixed frame. What you see here is #1 of one. Strictly prototype & still in the development stage. This frame was handed off to Marwin “The Wizard” Ou last night. Marwin will be riding & testing it on the streets & skateparks of the LBC in the coming months.

We have not yet decided if we will bring the Quad Fixed frame into SE’s 2012 line of bikes. So for now, just consider it our little pet project. If you like what you see, keep an eye out on the SE website and SE’s Facebook page  for the frame’s progress.

In celebration of Part Time Studios’ one year anniversary, they’re having a small-works group art show of local Philly artists. Part Time Studios is located at 2031 Frankford Ave in Fishtown. The exhibit runs from December 3rd to January 2nd. The opening reception is on First Friday, December 3rd at 6PM. Part Time Studios is open 11AM to 3PM from Tuesday to Saturday.
