However, not being surprised is not synonymous with not being impressed, because I’m super impressed by these. The Schwood team linked up with HUF to bring you this vid. The Chuck Ragan Camp is offering this free download of “Nomad By Fate” from his newest, yet to be released effort, Covering Ground. It is available for pre-order now, and is scheduled to come out on Sept. 13th. If you’re not familiar with Chuck Ragan, of Hot Water Music, stop slacking and get familiar. It has also been announced that he’s touring the US with Dropkick Murphy’s, and Street Dogs on the Shamrock N Roll Festival and heading to Europe with The Revival Tour.

This sly, dark story of a sordid take on manipulation and infidelity was written and directed by one of OOPM’s migrant workers, Jena N. Serbu. The short stars Mle Chester, Lizz Bashore and Merci Lyons-Cox and was produced by SWEETBREADSTUDIOS . Lately there has been a huge focus on the west coast flavor, especially here at OOPM. It is not intentional, but that’s what has been floating our boats lately. Anyway, we wanted to shift gears and bring you an east coast brand from, in my opinion, an unlikely city, Virginia Beach. Commodore is definitely rooted in the east coast, but has a west coast flair to it being inspired by skate and surf culture, as well as a party lifestyle. If you weren’t sure, check out the “Party Party Party” tank, that should clear things up for you. All in all they have a solid collection of graphic tees and tanks. Convento is a doc/art film about a kinetic artist who resurrects deceased local wildlife by reanimating the skeletal remains with servo motors and robotics. Goodie Mob have such a strong legacy as a classic and critically acclaimed Southern hip hop act. A group for people who love sincere hip hop. I, like maybe a lot of people, first heard of them when they guested on some Outkast tracks on Stankonia, but when you get deeper into their catalogue, and give Soul Food a good listen, you realize that what they were doing starkly stood out from what anyone else was doing.
The Mob hasn’t released a new record since 2004′s One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show, and obviously Cee Lo Green has gone on to make crazy big hits, both with Gnarls Barkley and on his own. Think about this: The dude from Goodie Mob’s song was sung by tweenagers on Glee!
Now, according to Cee Lo’s twitter, Goodie Mob are returning with an album called We Sell Drugs Too. Not much more information than that at the moment, but this prospect is enough to get any hip hop fan stoked. We’ve already seen a song called “Fuck You” be a top 40 hit, how about giving an album called We Sell Drugs Too the same success?
