More people live in cities than ever before, and many of them are taking their bikes to the city streets. Cyklar, bicicletas, and vélos are fun and inexpensive and they’re infiltrating asphalt cracks of cities across the world! For this challenge, create a t-shirt design inspired by the street, the bike, and the people of the urban biking movement. Take to the city streets. Visit bike hangouts. Research the history of urban cycling. Look at how bikes are reshaping your own city, from the social and economical impact to music, design, photography, and street art.
Keep in mind Chrome believes in simple, honest design; stuff that works well on a bike and in the bar. Create a design with all sorts of urban bikers in mind — commuters, professional messengers, fixed-gear freestyle riders, and journeymen on cargo bikes. We’ll choose several designs from this challenge. We’ll sell one on Threadless and the rest exclusively in Chrome stores and online.
The purpose of this challenge is to create a stand-alone design inspired by the theme, not a brand tee. Your design should not have brand names or logos on it.
Much like Black Thought you are hard pressed to find a bad verse fro Andre 3000. From the first album Andre has always displayed a lyrical know how seldom seen from artists 4 albums deep. Looked at as the more experimental member of the group he’s living proof that if you stay in your lane and make the music you want to make without compromise no one can do it better than you. As I was recording the mix listening to the production (that he had a hand in) and the verses it became evident that he might be the best emcee alive right now.
Remember when we told you about the new CSS record that came out? Well, as most bands do, they are now touring to promote this record. They are touring with a band called Men from New York. JD Samson from Le Tigre is in this band, which in my humble opinion makes them worth checking out. Experimental art dance pop, what else could you ask for? These are bound to be killer shows as CSS is always a crowd please, so don’t miss out!
To celebrate this tour of triumphant magnitude, the two bands have teamed up to also release a split 7″that will be available on the tour only (limited to 1000). The record contains never before heard tracks of the two bands remixing each other. So, Men remixing CSS’s “City Grrl”, and CSS’s remix of Men’s “Rip Off”. Each band also did the artwork for their side of the split.

“Roots frontman Black Thought has held it down for close to 2 decades as one of the most gifted emcee’s with a record deal. Bad album from The Roots? neva happened. The same can be said of his verses. One of the best freestyle emcees… I mean what else do you want? Philly at its finest. There isn’t a an emcee I wouldn’t put him up against. Enjoy”

“It’s a raucous night of drinking, swearing, dancing and of course rebel bingo. It was started by two guys in a basement and is now an underground phenomenon”

The Underground Rebel Bingo Club is a secret organisation that meets in secret locations to party hard and play hardcore Rebel Bingo. It’s basically the most hardcore form of bingo ever created. The nights feature:
Keeping secrets – Dancing – Drawing – Listening to music that is too loud
Due to the dangerous nature of Rebel Bingo we have to keep our operations secret from the authorities. The cover story and exact location for this meeting will be issued nearer the time.
Shhh. Do not tell anyone. We are everywhere. And we are nowhere. And whereever we are we are playing hardcore rebel fucking bingo.
