inflated/deflated
Posted by Crystal Shephard on February 18th, 2012

The Inflated/Deflated project was initiated by Jillian, Lauren, and Kady – three creatives based out of Chicago, IL. The words written on the balloons range from humorous quotes to heartfelt feelings and memories. These words are marked on the surface of inflated balloons, and like that of one’s thoughts being released, so too is the air of the balloon. Deflated the once largely marked letters become small, expressive, and intricate forms.

JINXED PRESENTS: Sarah Louise Davey Opening Reception
Posted by Jinxed on January 21st, 2012

We couldn’t be happier to have Sarah showing here THIS Saturday, January 21st! There is a line between artists and people who make stuff, Sarah is a true artist. I’ve been fortunate enough to see her work progress, and cannot wait to see what she’s come up with. Haunting faces made of found objects and ceramic will be peering from our walls ready to go home with you…

Sarah Louise Davey

like clock work
Posted by Jessop.K on January 20th, 2012

I have always enjoyed clocks, watches or any time telling devices. Ben Broyde has created a time telling device that tickles my fancy, orlogin. “israeli designer ben broyde has created the clock series entitled ‘orlogin’. his project functions as a realized research project
regarding the use of two dimensional sketches in design and the way in which an artist relates to this planning medium.
due to the layering of the sketch, there is an ease present to the production of a three dimensional product. the construction process
of ‘orlogin’ was accomplished as if the three dimensional object were quickly sketched by hand, and they are completed without
any post-construction finishing.” and see more at designboom.
