It has been a while since we have posted anything from Last Rites Gallery, so it’s about time we fix that. Focusing on dark art and imagery, Last Rites is an amazing space filled with torture devices and more oddities than your heart can desire, in addition to their roster of top notch artists. It’s also attached to the tattoo studio of world famous tattoo artist Paul Booth. Make sure to check out the opening on Jan. 19th of Alexandra Manukyan’s show, Sine Qua Non and Yoko d’Holbachie’s, In the Dark. Opening reception is from 7pm-11pm. Gallery 309 presents a solo exhibition of Philadelphia based self-taught artist Michael Motorcycle a.k.a ‘California Man’. Come check out his narrative paintings that feature intimate portraits of himself and his wife, Elyse. This is a unique account of human experience, as told through a personal lens and will run from November 2nd to December 20, 2012.

First Friday Events will take place on November 2nd, 6-10 PM and December 7th, 6-10 PM at Gallery 309.
