ART IN THE AGE: FEBRUARY FIRST FRIDAY WITH TWO PAPER DOLLS
Posted by Ronnie Bullets on February 2nd, 2012

THE AMERICAN ALLIANCE OF UNPAID PUBLIC SERVANTS

A Poster Series by Two Paper Dolls

Two Paperdolls has always celebrated the vital roles women play in
our society, and in honor of the upcoming President’s Day holiday, their team of illustrators, designers, and pressmen will transform Art in the Age into a historical tribute to the remarkable women of the White House.

Two Paperdolls will commemorate the First Ladies of the United States with an original series of letterpress posters, designed and printed exclusively for the occasion. The exhibition will also showcase a working Chandler & Price Platen press from the early 1900’s, which will be used in workshops throughout the month.

HERE COMES THE NEIGHBORHOOD EPISODE 5 : SEGO & SANER
Posted by Ronnie Bullets on December 7th, 2011

In this Episode of Here Comes the Neighborhood, Mexican artists Saner and Sego collaborate on a mural for the Wynwood Walls. They create a colorful dreamscape together, building on themes that each of the artists have explored for years. Saner’s interpretation of the work, and his poetic eloquence helps elevate the wall into an ethereal realm, while Sego, traveling to the United States for the first time, brings an astute attention to detail, and a stunning technique grounded in the complexities of the natural world. These Artists exemplify the power of art, both public and private, to function as a change agent, using this mural as a tool to reframe the worlds view of Mexico; from a dangerous narco state, to one of the most beautiful, mystical and transformative cultures in the world.
