Hey Guys head on over to OUR fav bike shop in the city and party with them as they turn 6
Our little bike shop sure is growing up quick! Please join us this Saturday, April 21st, from 6 – 9 pm to celebrate our 6th birthday. We will be having a big blow out with drinks and food and good times for all. Hope to see you all there! We will be closing a bit early to set up for the shindig, so our hours on Saturday will be 11-5.
For all you bicycle loving weirdoes out there you are going to have to get one of these if you are a DJ too… Definitely will make a session much more interesting!
In the premiere episode of Nigel Sylvester’s new show, “Get Sylvester”, Nigel takes in all of Barcelona from the famed Parc Guell and wonders: how does a kid with a BMX bike make it from Queens to here? And not just Barcelona, but all over the world? Nigel may not find all answers on this trip, but he does find a bunch of new spots to ride, as well as the city’s legendary party scene. Directed by http://www.harrisonboyce.com Filmed by http://www.13thwitness.com and Harrison Boyce.
These three bags were inspired by three towns with great cycling scenes, as well as just being all around awesome places, Portland, Austin, and Minneapolis. Only 100 were made of each one, so get em while you still can!
“Portland has become my home away from home over the past decade. I chanced upon the Chapman Swifts by accident and it was a pretty cool sight to behold and I think the community’s efforts to maintain the chimney for the Swifts embodies the Portland spirit.” – LT
7PM – ? / Open bar from 8 till $ runs out (probably around 10ish).

John can live out of it for 14 days. Mere mortals can make it 7 days. The Fortnight has a clamshell opening for easy access. Adaptable compression flap for unexpected cargo. Weatherproof. Made in Chico, California. Guaranteed for life.
Earlier today I stumbled upon some images of the new Affinity Cycles and Mishka collaboration bike. Before I go any further I’d like to say I rock Mishka gear on the regular, especially in the summertime. I also love the guys over at Affinity and really dig their frames, really good quality at a reasonable price. With that being said, when I heard they were going to collaborate on a bike I got pretty stoked. It was like getting an evite to the pizza and cupcake party hosted by big titty hookers. Unfortunately upon arrival to the party
Episode #2: THE SHANK Yes it’s a fanny pack. And John wears it. Weatherproof. Dual compartment. Key loop. Made in Chico California. Guaranteed for life.
Introducing the Cardiel x Chrome SHANK. Yes, it’s a fanny pack. And John wears it. Weatherproof. Dual compartment. Key loop. Made in Chico, CA. Guaranteed for life.
I was watching the Documentary about John Cardiel the other day on netflix and Bam I ran across this today.
John Cardiel is a Destroyer. Has been since he was a runny-nosed kid on a BMX bike…was when he was awarded Thrasher Magazine’s Skater of the Year in 1992…and is still today on a track bike and any medium he chooses. Hands down, Cardiel is one of the biggest legends in skateboarding. After a freak accident in 2003, John wasn’t able to skate like he used to and returned to his first love…bikes. John’s fearlessness, determination and never ending optimism are what inspire us the most. This bag series is a testament to John’s simple, resourceful, creative and self-sufficient travel style and we’re honored to have him as a member of the Chrome Familia. All Hail Cardiel!
Operation Readiness Pack (ORP): Fully seam taped-waterproof, lightweight day pack. Roll it up and take it with you everywhere. Guaranteed for life. (Note: cliff diving with the ORP will void the warranty!)
On a summer day, Chrome Familia member John Cardiel and a couple of friends rode from his home in Sacramento 100 miles north to the Chrome Bag factory in Chico, CA. The intent was to see his new Fortnight travel bag being made. It just so happened that the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is two blocks away from the Chrome bags factory. Here is what ensued.
