This collaboration comes from Vans Japan and 430 BMX Connection, possibly a third times the charm? Chukka Low, Sk8 Mid, and a flip flop. Is it wrong that I’m sweating the shit out of these flip flops? Maybe…now, ask me if I give a fuck? I don’t! Check em, for Summer 2012, scheduled for release next month in June.
Remember Ezekiel in the early 90′s? I do, and I can say this company has come a long way from those days. They were always a skate inspired brand that kind of sat on the outside of the skate scene. If they came out with a decent design people would pick it up, but no one was waiting for their next season to drop. Now I’m not saying that I’m blown away by this collection either, but I will say that I’m feeling a lot of the new designs as well as new direction the company has gone, leaving the old “urban” skate feel of yesteryear and getting into the neo classic designs of vintage motorcycles, and union inspired designs, which unfortunately I do also have to say are a bit played out however, not poorly done by Ezekiel at all. The addition to their mantra of “all we have is now” gives it that feel of Summer time fun. Good job guys, check out the video below and decide for yourself.

Rarely do I watch an entire Kickstarter pitch, but I crush on Amanda Palmer hard and this is a great gimmick for a campaign video. And well, she’s right, this is the future of music and art and filmmaking and invention and chemistry, construction, innovation and baking. Although the word future is not what it used to be. Future now means….. next 6 to 8 months? So we agree with her proclamation until September? Maybe November?

Check it out one of our readers Pierre is working hard to do there part to rep the streetwear culture in South Carolina. Ode Clothing which was started the beginning of my senior year and has expanded to various boutiques. We pride ourselves from being in South Carolina and want to be one of the best that have came out. We believe our brands stands out because of uniqueness and quality designs. Even though its really not a streetwear scene in South Carolina. we want to bring it here. We recently released our “Ode Spring 2012″ Lookbook done by Wesley Rose who has done some of Young Money member videos. Nudie magazine day! Nudie magazine day! Well, not quite, but y’know what I mean. After teasing you with the video on Tuesday, it’s finally time to drop the Spring ’12 Lookbook shot by Rae Threat and Kimberly Kane. See, we didn’t make you wait that long. We started this hopefully longstanding tradition last year, recruiting Rae to shoot Andy San Dimas & Jessie Andrews in our Fall 2011 gear. We love to see all the creative ways these ladies wear (I use the loose definition) our gear, and we hope you do too.
This year Rae and Kimberly recruited four lovely and totally kick ass girls for the shoot, outfitting them with guns and cut up ?????. Sounds good to me! From the freshly shaved (not like that you pervo!) Belladonna to the blonde bombshell Charlotte Stokely, the alluring Aiden Ashley and the gorgeous Gracie Glam, this lookbook has it all. With the help of stylist Giuliana Mayo and hair & makeup artist Corena Gibson, Rae, Kimberly and the magnificent models put together a true winner. Enjoy!
