#MONTHOFTHEMASK #DOOMSTRAVAGANZA
Posted by DJAMBUSH on November 11th, 2011

“I’m walking around with shades on today, yep a little bit tired but it was worth it. The party was everything any DOOM enthusiast would hope for and more. We had disciples come down from as far as Brooklyn to chill, eat and of course dance in celebration of one of todays most unique artists MF DOOM. There was drinking, pillaging, debauchery in all corners of the club. However much of this could not be seen on the ustream due to lighting… that was probably for the best. As a last minute treat for the event a free raffle was held so we could give away 4 original pieces of DOOM artwork from Mars 5. Members of the DSTRCT9 collective were floating around Chances R of Society Park, La’Trese & Summer or L&S and Chill Moody. Can’t wait to do it again next year. ”

TONIGHT #DOOMSTRAVANGANZA
Posted by DJAMBUSH on November 9th, 2011

“Hell No” the first leak from the L&S (Latrese & Summers) “DOOM for Dummies” Mixtape which drops this Wednesday at the DOOMstravaganza. On
“DOOM for Dummies” L&S remakes some of our favorite villains most classic tracks. Staying true to the originals the songs are filled with humor and straight talk about their industry experiences thus far.

#DOOMSTRAVANGANZA

This isn’t an invitation asmuch as it is an ordinance. We at DOOMSTRCT9 feel as though it’s in your best interest to align yourselves with… our…selves? Yes ourselves if only to avoid the inevitable crime wave that will ensue. *EVIL LAUGH!!!*

Okay Okay Okay… So we’re throwing a DOOM party. So that means Dj Ambush is taking MF Doom requests all night long. We’ll also be releasing L&S’ (La’Trese & Summers) “DOOM for Dummies” mixtape as well as Dj Ambush’s “AMtroduction to DOOM” mixtape. Leading up to the event we’re gonna be engaging in all manner of villiany in the form of music releases and videos, so check back in from time to time to make sure you’re not missing out. Oh right, right i forgot to mention that the party is FREE!!! FREE!!! FREE!!! ..so are the mixtapes! So come on out *Nov 9th, and rock ya favorite masks!!!

Shouts to ROCK THE DUB, OUT OF PRINT MAGAZINE AND BLAKE MONTGOMERY for filing the necessary paperwork and permits for the debauchery planned that night!

**Well the true date for the event is October 40th… but apparently Facebook isn’t sophisticated nor villainous enough to comply with our requests to extend the month to 40 days… no matter

“As we get closer and closer to DOOMsday we’re gonna be kicking out more and more treats. This one comes from Society Parks Chances R. He takes the infamous Ro.Co.Kane Flow beat and gives you an unfamiliar look at the death of a very familiar person. Enjoy!!”

DJ AMBUSH: #MONTHOFTHEMASK
Posted by DJAMBUSH on October 17th, 2011

“Month of the Mask is a month long celebration of the emcee with illest mask DOOM (formerly known as MF DOOM) What better way to celebrate the Halloween season than with a tribute to a Hip Hop villain. DSTRCT9 will be releasing music, art and visuals inspired DOOM. Participating artists include Curly Castro, Dave Ghet, Chill Moody, Chances R of Society Park, Nickelz, Dj Ambush, Deuce the Go 2 Kid, L&S, and Hank McCoy.”

As things pick up through out the month we’re gonna be adding more artists and an event to the schedule. We’re releasing 2 mixtapes this month Dj Ambush’s “Amtroduction to DOOM” and L&S’ “DOOM for Dummies”. 3 remixes from Hank McCoy, and tracks from Chances R, aswell as a posse cut featuring Chill, Castro, Dave and Nickelz. We’re sealing the deal on the event as soon as that info is available you’ll have it. Attached is the first wave of promo and the artwork for the posse cut dropping next week in addition to my mixtape cover. You’ll be receiving more promo’s this week and the weeks to come. Thanks and i’m looking foward to the rest of the

Occupy Philly Really?
Posted by DJAMBUSH on October 6th, 2011

“I got one word for this “childish”. This is nonsense on top of utter nonsense. Just last week everyone was up in arms over Troy Davis. Truth be told up until 72hours before he was executed I didn’t know who he was. And I’m pretty sure a couple months from now when I bring his name up in conversation someone is bound to say “Troy who?”. Now we’re waging a war on wall street, corporate america and the ever evil and ominous government. Do you see how this all sounds familiar? Another insurmountable task yet to be taken on by the people in a tireless effort to right the wrongs in the world? Please give me a F*CKing break. I’m betting atleast 60% of the people that show up for
the demonstration voted for our current president or atleast still believe in the validity of our current voting system. Why are we gathering at City Hall? To raise awareness you say? Well if you really want to DO something that will ACTUALLY have an effect… why not stop paying taxes? You DO know it’s unconstitutional to have our wages taxed right? Wait you didn’t? Lemme organize a march to bring everyone up to speed. (sigh) Take an actual risk, do some serious research instead of being led around by your nose based on someone else’s “cause of the week” It’s 2011 marching is a very, verrrrrry meek and safe way to wage war against the powers that be… especially because
no one is chasing you with dogs, throwing tear gas, or spraying you with fire hoses.”

White Label Wednesdays: Nsync “Cry Me A River Remix feat. 50 Cent”
Posted by DJAMBUSH on October 5th, 2011

“Produced by Timbaland this was the track that really allowed Justin Timberlake to shine and eventually opened up the doors for his more than successful solo career. I remember this getting tons of spins on urban radio much to our confusion and delight. Now from what I understand this was actually produced by Scott Storch under Timbaland… I for one don’t care. Hey Scott did you get a check… and maybe some recognition off of it? Okay then lets stop the crying. Oh yea and 50 Cent saw the potential of this track and made sure he made a contribution You gotta love that guy.”

Top 5 Dead or Alive Elimination Complete Busta Rhyme Mix
Posted by DJAMBUSH on October 5th, 2011

“This weather is currently kicking my ass! And brought a little damper to what would’ve been a spectacular AmDay weekend. Nevertheless here isĀ  the final installment of my Top 5 mix series. Busta Rhymes the man that you always feared would take you out on a remix of your own song. Busta’s features along with actual releases are stuff of legend. He managed to switch to a more reserved calmer flow and still give off the energy you see when he performed live. For you listening pleasure I give you one of the best to ever do it Busta!”
